Larry Madowo who currently works for BBC has become a household name in Kenya for anchoring prime time news on both KTN and NTV at different times in his media career. Larry did not however always look as sharp as he does when he appeared on your screens recently while doing the news or his Friday TV Show The Trend on NTV.
Larry posted a throwback photo of himself on Sunday as he commemorated 10 years in the media industry. A career which started at I & M Towers where he was a trainee business reporter for KTN.
The photo had this caption:
"Exactly 10 years ago today, I started out as a Trainee Business Reporter at KTN.
Do not despise small beginnings. Thanks to everyone who made my dreams come true. I've been blessed immeasurably. "
Here are some of the reactions from the more than 400 followers who commented on the Sunday TBT:

Larry quit his job at NTV last month in what is seen as a mass exodus from Nation Center to join BBC. Others who exited the Kimathi Street outfit include Linus Kaikai who has since joined Citizen TV and Victoria Rubadiri who is also rumored to be headed to 'Rose Avenue.'
"I leave @ntvkenya as I came: humbled & grateful.
The job was one of the great honours of my life. Thanks to everyone who watched, and to Nation for the privilege of the opportunity," said Larry on an Instagram post.
Several NMG columnist also quit their jobs last month in what they termed as editorial interference.
