MIGORI 18TH JANUARY 2018: Suna West Member of Parliament Peter Masara has refuted claims doing rounds that the opposition coalition NASA is currently divided regarding Raila Odinga’s planned swearing in on 30th October.
The legislator who was speaking to the press outside the court after a hearing of the petition against him said that the imminent differences that are alleged to be fronted by the coalition partners Wiper democratic Movement is a clear testimony that there is clear democracy in the coalition.
The independent candidate said that the coalition is ready to swear in Raila Odinga as the People’s Assembly president.
He said that the election of the president was not well conducted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission and electoral reforms have to be instituted.
He added that the electoral reforms are not done to benefit the political class but to streamline the election process.
